July 1 was a Sunday of celebrations for the deacons at Christ Church, Austin.  The Rev. Mary-Frances Jones (left), Deacon Emeritus, was honored on the 25th anniversary of her ordination (June 29, 1982), and the Rev. Lynn Adwell celebrated her first Sunday as a deacon following her ordination (June 28, 2007).  A special liturgy honoring the Diaconate and receptions to honor Mary-Frances and Lynn made for a joyous day in Austin!
