Welcoming St. Clement's New Rector

St. Clement's Church in St. Paul welcomed its new rector, the Rev. Beth Royalty (left), at a delightful celebration in the parish hall consisting on the Feast of the Epiphany (Saturday, January 6). The three-hour event, attended by over 100 parishioners, included a liturgy; children's activity; a humorous skit by the search committee; a dinner; presentation of gifts to Beth Royalty; and, of course, a speech by the new rector.
Beth is seen above accepting the gifts given to her and her daughter Margaret: two sets of mittens, scarves, and hats knitted by 20 St. Clement's parishioners. Each section of the scarves was knitted by a separate parishioner. Presenting the gifts are Gail Lundeen-Brand (back to camera) and Nancy Dilts. The following morning (Sunday, January 7) the Rev. Beth Royalty held the Epiphany service at the churchand baptized a new member. It was a blessed way to bring in the new year at St. Clement's!
