"Healthy Homes, Healthy Congregations"
New environmental education resource from Minnesota Council of Churches
Care for Creation is a concern of many congregations. We honor God when we foster an environment that promotes healthy living for Creation and each other. Yet, research shows we are exposed to large numbers of toxic chemicals in the products we use everyday. Children are especially affected by these chemicals. Last fall many children’s toys were recalled because of dangerous levels of lead. What can we do?
Discover a new environmental education resource, Healthy Homes, Healthy Congregations, available to congregations from the Minnesota Council of Churches. We offer a presentation on the pervasiveness of pollution and how to minimize exposures from toxic chemicals at home and in congregations. The presentation is very practical; leaving participants empowered to take action at the personal and congregational levels. We also offer connections to the various denominations’ worship and educational resources on the environment.
