Diocesan Council is a body of elected lay and clergy representatives who oversee the program and budget of the Diocese of Minnesota between meetings of Diocesan Convention.
The Finance Committee provides the Diocesan Council with assurance that both the financial policy and financial affairs of the Diocese are appropriately developed, implemented and managed and makes specific policy and operational recommendations to the Council.
The Audit Committee assists the Diocesan Council in monitoring the Diocese's compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, the integrity of the Diocese's financial processes and the independence, qualifications and performance of the Diocese's independent auditor.
The First Stop Committee is constituted with representatives from all elected and appointed canonical bodies in the diocese who have decision-making abilities and responsibilities, along with diocesan staff. Consequently, the combined knowledge in this group brings to the table a keen historical perspective, understanding of trends, and accuracy of the current state of affairs of diocesan congregations.
The Personnel Committee provides the Diocesan Council with all appropriate personnel policies and guidelines to be implemented for employees of the diocese.
