She has served on the national church's Standing Commission on Constitution and Canons for 6 years and for the past ten years has worked for the Church Pension Group and Church Insurance Company, traveling around the country working with and training clergy and lay leaders in canon law, employment risk, risk management, and sexual misconduct.

In the Diocese of Minnesota, Sally has served as Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, President of the University Episcopal Center, Vice-President of Episcopal Community Services and has served on the vestry of the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, co-chaired St. Mark's capital funds drive, and served on the Endowment Committee and Property Committee.

Sally Johnson has been a deputy to General Convention on behalf of the Diocese of Minnesota for each Convention since 1994. She was Vice Chair of the deputation in 2003 and Chair in 2006.

"I want to help the diocese play a strong, effective role at General Convention," says Johnson. "As a result of my experience and activity in the church on a statewide and national basis I have a church-wide network of colleagues and friends with whom we can work to develop, shape, and pass legislation the diocese cares about."
